PALIN LOOK-A-LIKE AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF CONSTRUCTION
The owners of Square One Salon have been in the construction business lately.
Co-owner Brent Johnson said the downtown Centerville location, 1 N. Main St., received unexpected attention due to the November election and a Sarah Palin look-a-like with a sign.
A sports utility vehicle crashed into the business’ brick wall Nov. 1 when its driver was apparently distracted by the faux Palin and her sign supporting then presidential candidate John McCain, he said.
The wall’s repair cost was about $10,000, Johnson said.
One a brighter note, the company has just completed its $220,000 renovation on its downtown Dayton location, 506 East Third St., including a new classroom for stylist training, two new lavish client waiting areas, and a tripling of its retail space.
Johnson said the space expanded from 3,600 square feet to 5,200.
