Stores working up an appetite with pre-Thanksgiving sales today
With a couple of them calling the sales “after-Thanksgiving prices before Thanksgiving,” area stores are offering some big discounts today, Nov. 25.
Among them:
JCPenney has marked down clothes, gifts, toys, jewelry and holiday items from 40 percent to 60 percent off — and more.
Many items, such as sweaters, suit separates and men’s outerwear, are 50 percent off plus 10 percent off.
And women’s coats are 60 percent off, plus 10 percent. That’s the best price on coats I’ve seen from a major department store.
Kohl’s also has 40 percent to 60 percent off many items, including kitchen electronics, clothes, luggage and calendars.
Kohl’s also is offering its $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent. That offer is good through Sunday.
The store also has an extra 15 percent off for senior citizens today only.
Elder-Beerman’s sale prices are more in the 30 percent to 50 percent range, and applies to clothes, china, appliances, kitchen knives and even a cordless sweeper.
