What’s your early “Idol” Top 12 wish list?

Goodbye John Park, Jermaine Sellers, Michelle Delamor and Haeley Vaughn.

Did America get it right this week?

Half right. Half wrong.

How has Tim Urban managed to survive the last two rounds? He’s not good, and he didn’t even make the original Top 24 (he was a last-minute substitution for an ineligible contestant). Let’s hope he doesn’t stick around undeservingly as long as Sanjaya did a few seasons back.

Urban was better this week than last, but compared to the other contestants — including the two guys who went home tonight — he’s not even in the same league.

John Park unfortunately made the mistake of choosing the wrong songs despite having a really nice voice. Jermaine Sellers clouded his natural talents with way too many vocal tricks the last two weeks. Jermaine, I’ll really miss your fun sense of fashion. And John, there’s always Shania.

As for the ladies, Michelle Delamor should not have went home over Lacey Brown. But ultimately, neither are Top 12 worthy, so what’s one more week in the great scheme of things? America got it right with Haeley Vaughn, but the good news is she’s young and will have plenty of opportunities to come. Her final performance was really sad to watch. Poor girl. Imagine going through that disappointment in such a public way at such a young age.

Now, on a happier note, it’s prediction time. Here’s my Top 12 wish list in no particular order:

  1. Crystal Bowersox
  2. Lilly Scott
  3. Katie Stevens
  4. Katelyn Epperly
  5. Paige Miles
  6. Siobhan Magnus (she’ll keep us guessing)
  7. Andrew Garcia
  8. Michael Lynche
  9. Lee Dewyse
  10. Aaron Kelly
  11. Casey James
  12. Alex Lambert

I wish it didn’t have to be an even amount of boys and girls. I’d take Didi Benami over Alex “not Adam” Lambert any day.

For a season that`s supposed to have all of this talent, most of these contestants are horrible! There are maybe four who have impressed me those being Bowersox, Epperly,Lynche and Kelly. The rest should hang it up.

I wish they would all go home. And take Ellen (can’t make up my mind which way go) Degeneret with them.

THe right ones went home and we can all hope that Alex and Tim leave next week for the guys with Lacey and siobhan (no, she isn’t great and very weird) going for the girls.

I halfway agreed with Simon on Siobhan Magnus. The first part of her performance was rough, but she has a decent voice. But the last part of her performance greatly improved with the ultimate scary high note at the end. Strange and wonderfully different. She’s my dark horse. The obvious front runner to me is the almost kicked off Crystal Bowersox, with Lilly Scott in close proximity. Andrew Garcia is still around because he surprised us a couple of weeks ago, but since has been blending in too much. Still has a great voice, but we’re waiting for the next surprise performance from him. Aaron Kelly is my dark horse, but for me my favorite was Casey James, even though his vocals were a touch rough, that guitar was mean and he looked extremely comfortable on stage. I felt like I was at his concert. I liked it, it’s the kind of music I would listen to. I hope Casy goes through to the end. There are many good singers, but these are the ones who stick out to me.
