A little bit country, a little bit of the ’20s on Week 4 of ‘Dancing’
OK. Tonight we’re gonna try something a little different. Instead of going through each number one by one I’m going to highlight the best and worst moments of the night.
It’s a night of all new dances: The Charleston, the Lambada, Country Two-Step and the Bolero.
Favorite performances: The ladies have definitely got this category nailed. It’s going to get harder and harder to send anyone home. Faves were Melissa Joan Hart & Mark Ballas, Joanna Krupa & Derek Hough, Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel and Mya & Dmitry Chaplin and bringing one in for the guys: Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson.
Most improved: Chuck Liddell & Anna Trebunskaya. I didn’t catch all of his performance but what I did see makes me think he might have saved himself for another week.
Most backtracking: Bellefontaine native Louie Vito & Chelsie Hightower. He was doing so well… until this week. He does look a little taller (or at least less short) in those jeans (as opposed to the usual baggy pants he wears) though.
Most shocking moment: Derek removing his shirt, and the judges saying they hope the kids are in bed (Joanna Krupa and Derek’s dance was pretty steamy) followed by Tom cracking that some adults might be after that dance.
So-so performances: Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff — I kind of agree… They seem to have spent too much time worrying about the back flip. But I still liked the dance. Natalie Coughlin & Alec Mazo’s number was also just so-so. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. Just a little dull.
Worst performance: Michael Irvin & Anna Demidova — Seriously I think he was about to break his arm. This dance was all about Anna. Bruno rightly compared him to the economy — Week after week it’s supposed to be getting better but nothing happens. Mark Dacascos & Lacey Schwimmer a close second on the terribleness, with (sadly) Louie Vito coming in 3 from the bottom on that one.
Funniest moment: Louie Vito as a cowboy with Chelsie’s last partner, rodeo star (and Jewel’s hubby) Ty Murray. Maybe Louie took Ty’s advice a little too much. He was about as stiff as Ty was when he was on the show.
And last, but certainly not least…
The sexiest number of the night: This one’s a tie between Mya and Joanna. Those two girls can certainly shake it.
So, who goes home tomorrow? Based on this week and the past, I think Michael and Anna. But, Louie Vito and Chelsie could be in serious jeopardy after tonight’s lackluster dance.
Tomorrow singer Sharkira performs 2 of her hits and 1 of our couples hits the road.
So what did you think of tonight’s show? Who do you think is outta there?

Were we watching the same dancing with Chuck? He was stiff and had no real movement with his two step. OK that wa sabout all he did, two step. I think it is up to Michael Irvin and Chuck going. I don’t think Mya should have got 2 Tens, it was a solid 9’s acorss the board, She hung on to her partner more then dancing. OK I know that dance was suppose to be sexy but not 2 Tens worth. Len said it right on this and voted it right IMHO. Still going home. Irvin or Chuck. He is not going to last, be it either one. The real dancers are stepping up and we are seeing them.
