Dancing with the Stars - Season 8 Shocker - week 9 results show
Tonight’s post (May 5) will be short and sweet. After all, it’s Cinco de Mayo!
Jamie Cullum performs - don’t think I’d buy a ticket to see him.
Dance Center with Kenny Many and Jerry Rice - hated that! I really wish they would let go of these lame comedy bits!
Stars of Dance - loved that. Don’t think it was the best thing dance routine ever, but still fun. On a side note… what’s with all the random, inexplicable crowd roars - I have to wonder what they are seeing we aren’t.
Previous season rejects dancing with the pro wannabes - liked that!
Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani get to stay - loved that!
Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas get to stay - okay with that.
Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke will be dancing another week - that makes sense.
Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower - get to stay for another week… really?
So that means Lil’ Kim and Derek hough have danced their last dance… say what… America so got this one wrong - Ty and Lil’ Kim need to have a dance off at high-noon to settle this score. There’s little chance that Ty and Chelsie would win… is there?

I agree - if they are too hurt to compete, they should be outta there! It happens with all other sports & competitions. So what if that means there is no “drama” to the elimination - guess they will have to come up with some other “hook” for the results show…By El Presidente`

I was surprised to see Kim leave, but pleasantly surprised. I think part of her problem is Derek. While he is a great dancer and choreographer He has become the most obnoxious professional dancer on the show. From grabbing the mirror ball trophy last season, to his constantly trying to hog-in on every camera shot in the show, he’s really over the top. I just as soon see less of him regardless of who he is paired with. Ty should be thanking his lucky stars too because if it wasn’t for the fan vote, he surely should have been eliminated last night. Who knew that rodeo had so many fans? I think it’s more likely his wife’s fan base is saving his stiff, white butt from elimination :-)By seriously?

I think how they handle it when someone is hurt is fair. They only get voted on for their last dress rehearsal or the last taping. Besides, she has been one of the 2 most consistent, so she definitely deserved to prove herself, which she certainly did! She gets my vote every week. Gilles is pretty damn good though and I think it should be between those 2 for the finale. I think it coulda been Shawn, Lil’ Kim or Ty, any one of them goin this week. Prolly shoulda been Ty though. He’s so awkward to watch, but he has a huge fan base, because like Melissa, he’s genuine and likeable. ok, I’ve said my peace. : )By tvViewer

I wouldn’t say that Kim would have won, but Ty should have been the one to go! Why is his fan base larger than Lil’ Kim’s?By unknown

i forgot something. i also think that melessia should hv been voted off last week. i don’t think its fair the way they have to do it when a dancer gets hurt. in fact that goes for any 1 of them. even if they are in the lead. let me know what u all think of that thank youBy unknown

i was very shock at the results, yes i like ty but he should hv been voted off. the problem i hv with him is: he is too stiff. and his pants are too tight. if he would loosen up and wear his pants a lttle loser i believe he can move, and yes he isn’t going to win at all. i am hoping for chery burke n her partner. i like cheryl. i like derek too.By Patrice

It’s happened several times before this. season. Marie Osmond is the first who comes to mind. Likeable, funny…but did anyone really think she could win? I didn’t see the show tonight so I’m reading the results just now. I’m rather glad I didn’t see the show now. I think I would have been shocked and maybe even angry - even though I like Ty - he’s a nice guy - just not a top, award winning dancer. What a pity.
