Who is the first to go on Survivor: Tocantins Update

Survivor: Tocantins - Did Dayton native Candace Smith make it through for another week?

This season’s show is set in an area of 100,000 square miles in Brazil. The area features brutal temperatures of up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit and, according to the show’s host, is one of the most isolated places on earth.

So true to form, within five minutes of the show starting 2 team members are voted off… They are Sandy and Sierra - although in Survivor style - Jeff lets everyone know that he just said two members wouldn’t be participating in this challenge and the two take a helicopter t to the camp sight.

The two tribes to start the season are Jalapao and Tibira.

The first challenge of the their 39 days together is to building stairway and solve a puzzle. The Dayton native found herself on the winning tribe. Tribe Jalapao will be voting off a tribemate - so who will it be? will Sandy be voted off - again?

Nope - the tribe quickly realized the 50 something woman is an asset and that Carolina had to go.

First voted off this season’s show is… Carolina! - I agree!

Contestant Booted from “American Idol” - Update

Included in the top 36 American Idol contestants is Joanna Pacitti - but you’ll never get to vote for her on this season’s show.

Controversy has been swirling around this starlet wannabe for weeks and it appears Fox and American Idol has eliminated Pacitti. In a press release Fox said “It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition.” The statement didn’t elaborate as to why Pacitti was being booted.

Competing in her place will be Felicia Barton, who must have been elated despite being eliminated on Wednesday’s show. She appeared in the Louisville auditions singing “Put Your Records On.”

Perhaps the Idol producers have some scruples after all…
