Contestant Booted from “American Idol” - Update
Included in the top 36 American Idol contestants is Joanna Pacitti - but you’ll never get to vote for her on this season’s show.
Controversy has been swirling around this starlet wannabe for weeks and it appears Fox and American Idol has eliminated Pacitti. In a press release Fox said “It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition.” The statement didn’t elaborate as to why Pacitti was being booted.
Competing in her place will be Felicia Barton, who must have been elated despite being eliminated on Wednesday’s show. She appeared in the Louisville auditions singing “Put Your Records On.”
Perhaps the Idol producers have some scruples after all…

I’m glad to hear that - I didn’t think she deserved to be there at all. She had her chance and blew it - it is someone’s turn now. Even if she hadn’t had her shot - her terrible performance in Hollywood in no way was good enough to get her bumbling self through to the finals. For someone with prior experience - she exhibited absolutely NO polish. What I don’t understand is that they knew all of this when she auditioned - why did they get all the way to THIS point and then decide to boot her? She shouldn’t have ever been considered in the first place. Stupid.

I am all for not allowing her to compete, even though I thought she was good. She is a pro, and this should be for undiscovered talent.
