Latest Update: ‘American Idol’ week 4 who goes home

Were the people at Fox reading this blog - it was just yesterday (Mar. 11) when I wrote that I wished the people at Fox would come up with a new entry for the show… and tonight’s (Mar. 12) show was introduced to us by Jim Carey and some of the Characters from the upcoming Dr. Seuss movie, “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who.” Clearly a shameless plug for the upcoming - nonetheless - fun.

29 million million votes were cast for this weeks’ contestants - so who will it be.

The Beatles montage was a great way to showcase the skills of the remaining contestants - I’m wishing they’d do more of this during the regular show.

First up are the bottom three, in terms who got the fewest votes - the bottom three are, Syesha Mercado (who was looking a little shocked), Kristy Lee Cook and David Hernandez.

The Dayton Daily News poll result had Kristy Lee Cook going home… but will Dayton be right?

The next contestant voted off ‘American Idol’ is… David Hernandez - I guess America wasn’t ready for a former stripper to win idol.

Did you vote? Did America send home the wrong Idol contestants

Brian, I didn’t say anybody voted David H. off, and I don’t agree with anything you said in your reply. I think you should read my comments again. David H. was a much better singer than several of the other contestants left, and did not deserve to go home. I think he is as good as David A., and I like David A. I think he may be the winner if it isn’t Cook.

I understand your point Shirley, but first of all nobody voted David H OFF the show… they simply voted for their favorites and he got the least votes. I don’t believe anyone is trying to punish him because of his past. But that being said this isn’t something that he did when he was “younger”, he did this until Fall of last year. I am personally uncomfortable with my children having a role model that was a former male stripper. He was a good singer but not my favorite and his past had nothing to do with my decision.

I think it is really sad that David H. was sent home. He was clearly more talented than some of the others that are left. He didn’t make any big mistakes, he has a nice powerful voice, and he nice to look at. Clearly he was treated differently from some prev idol contestants who were allowed to make mistakes when they were younger. The media contends he is gay, although he says he is straight. People who look down their noses at someone when they are down are usually the same people who have their own mistakes to hide. People should check themselves before they start “throwing stones” because who is to say what sin is worse than another. He was young and made some mistakes. Now his life is over? I think not. I think he will make it big, and he’ll be able to laugh in the face of those who look down on him.
