America got it WRONG on ‘American Idol’

What’s wrong with you people? I count myself in the you people as well. I didn’t vote last night and I should have. If there would have been more votes for some of the best maybe different people would have gone home. Man, there is one guy and one gals that stayed that shouldn’t have.

I guess that Nick didn’t have enough of something because America didn’t vote enough for him. He was actually better tonight than last night. A little more relaxed. Maybe he’s secretly glad to be going home? This is one I wish could stay. Classy move to go over and shake the hands of all the other guys. Poor Sundance. He got all teary saying goodbye. So sweet.

One of the ladies now has to go. Oh please let it be Antonella! But this time Alaina Alexander is going. She was so sweet and again so classy in her exit but she did deserve to go. This is the first time that I think I’ve seen someone not be able to do their song because they were too emotional. Frankly, I cannot believe more people don’t struggle. Poor Sundance again, he must have a tender heart crying again. I love this in a man. Pay attention guys. Some of us don’t mind a guy who is not afraid to show their tender side.

So how cute was Ryan Seacrest when he asked the buxom Kellie Pickler what she had spent her money on…and she said shoes as he’s staring at her boosted bust line. I don’t remember her being that busty before but it’s possible I guess. She certainly wasn’t my favorite last year but I’m so glad she doing well. She’ll never be Carrie Underwood successful but this is nice. However, her hair made her look like an old country star. I get that it was supposed to be retro but I thought it just made her look old. She got pretty choked up as she was singing a song that she co-wrote about the mother who walked out on her a long time ago. You go Kellie Pickler!

Oh no! A.J. Tabaldo is going home. Did you see Sanjiya’s face? He was totally surprised that he was not going home. I think A.J. was surprised too but was too much a gentleman to say so. Damn. Not that A.J. was a favorite but he was so much better than the other one. Is Sanjiaya going to be this season’s Chicken Little? Do you think the show keeps someone bad on just to drive ratings? I know this would mean it’s fixed and I guess I don’t believe they do that, but it just makes me mad.

Look at the worry on Antonella’s face. Damn! She’s still on the show. But it doesn’t surprise that Leslie is the one who is going home. But of the two of them, Antonella or Leslie, Antonella needed to go. I think Simon was disappointed too that the royal icky one didn’t go as well.

Lots of tears tonight. I guess they all probably do get close to each other during this time. First there is all that time away from family and then the contestants are all thrown in a stressful situation together. No wonder.

So four more are gone, not the right four but there gone nonetheless.

Remember, not too much longer folks and we will have our very own Idol in our Online Idol contest. Vote and be heard. These guys need your votes as much as the TV Idols.

Already can’t wait until next week. How many days before the guys again? How many days before Antonella goes home?

RoadRager - just curious why you think it is a KNOWN fact that they have the final say. Do you know something that the rest of America doesn’t?

I was so ticked when AJ got booted last night. But, like you - I didn’t vote -so, can’t complain too much. And oh, Kelli Pickler - did she not look quite hippy last night? I know I am, but I didn’t think that dress was flattering to her at all….except to show off the new bustline!

I think that the judges really want Antonella gone but it serves them right. They should never have sent her to Hollywood to begin with. She’s just not Idol material. I was really disappointed when AJ was sent home. Not only is he a good singer and cute as a button but I liked the way he cheered on the other contestants. He seemed like such a genuine person.

QUOTE:”Do you think the show keeps someone bad on just to drive ratings? I know this would mean it?s fixed and I guess I don?t believe they do that” Are you kidding me?! It is a known fact back from the 1st season that the producers of Idol hold the final say and can (& have) squashed votes to sway the outcome of voting if they dont agree with America, they just dont have Ryan up there going ” Well AMERICA voted off this one but the producers said “It Ain’t Happenin’”“… So… in essence, YES, it is FIXED, to a certain extent. Of course they tinker with the show to bump ratings, Its Hollywood for cryin’ out loud! Watch and see if they don’t try to push that Indian fellow through as far as they can hoping he’ll turn around and actually make it to the end… the idea of a Middle-Eastern Idol is probably giving all the producers “That special feeling”

Yes, America got it wrong. Sanjaya and Antonella should have left. But it shows these two have a fanbase.

Pickler got some new jogs alright. They looked ready to break loose of their purple spandex sheath and sing a little solo of their own.
