The right 4 go home on American Idol

So who is going home? I forgot that four left the show tonight. I’m kind of glad because I’m anxious to get some of the less talented folks out of there.

I’ve always known it was important to get into the Top 12 but mostly I thought it was because they got the use of the stylists. But I guess they save the star appearances for the Top 12 as well. On tap for this season is Diana Ross, Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Tony Bennett, Martina McBride, LuLu, Peter Noone from Herman’s Hermits and Barry Gibb. There’s some talent in there but nothing like David Foster and Andréa Bocelli of last year.

First the guys. Before I forget I wanted to mention that the judges actually look like they don’t know who is going home. There was suspense in their faces.

Paul Kim, the icky barefoot dude, is going home. I’m not broken hearted there but then again I didn’t see the guys the other night so I don’t know who may have been worse. No one I suspect after hearing him sing his way out of the competition. Oh America, thanks for making the right choice.

Now the girls. There is much more talent in the girls but there was a couple rough performances last night.

Amy Krebs was just too average and blah. I didn’t even listen to her parting song. Blah.

Fantasia Barrino (Season 3 winner) is back with a new album and she also announced that on April 10 she’ll be starring in the Broadway production of The Color Purple. The show’s producer Quincy Jones was in the audience in support of her. Big star Quincy Jones. Because Fantasia never went with the commercial pop music scene I never realized that she has been as successful as she apparently is.

Now another girl goes. I don’t want to sound politically incorrect but the white girls just aren’t representing this year.

Nicole Tranquillo took the news pretty well. Oh my goodness now after I heard her sing again I’m so glad she’s outta here! Don’t quite know how she got this far.

Last but not least…Rudy Cardenas is going home. I did not see the performance yet but what I’ve heard he was worst than the worst cruise ship or amusement park performers and after watching his parting song I can see that now. But his voice doesn’t suck and if he would have done a ballad I wonder how the results may have changed. Paula was certainly sad that Rudy was leaving.

I am not unhappy at all with those who are leaving the stage. Although I have to say I had a little crush on Rudy so now I have to find another guy to crush on!!!

I have to say I cannot wait until next week in hopes that the guys step it up and to see what the really, really good girls do!!!

Is it me or does this season seem to lack some of the “it” people they’ve had the last couple of years. I don’t see anyone that stands out really. I like Blake, but he’s no Bo or Chris Daughtry or even Constantine.

Kelle- Did you hear when Ryan was announcing the last guy to leave and he siad that either Rudy or Sanjaya was one of the top four guys and the other was going home. I thought for sure Sanjaya might be gone, I would be surprised if he makes top 12. I would not put him in the top four guys, nor would I put him in the top 10 or 8. However, I remember last year when Chicken Little got as far as he did. I would hate to see someone get through again this year that is not as talented as others. This is the girls year to win, they are awesome! I was not feeling Antonella, and I suspect she will be one of the next ones to go. Can’t wait until next Tuesday!

I THINK THE RIGHT ONES DID GO HOME LAST NIGHT. BUT ALL AND ALL I THINK IDOL MADE BAD CHOICES IN DECIDING OVER ALL, WHO WOULD EVEN MAKE IT TOO THE TOP 12. YOUR CORRECT LADIES OF COLOR ARE SINGING THEIR BUTTS OFF THIS YEAR. I HOPE A LADY WIN THOSE GIRLS CAN SING. AND ALL THE MAN ARE BAD. I THINK AMERICA HAS BETTER MEN SINGER. LOL THIS MAY BE THE LAST YEAR I WATCH TO MUCH PLAYING IN AUDITIONS.
