“Dog” the Bounty Hunter - Arrested in Hawaii

AE’s star, Duane “Dog” Chapman has been arrested in Hawaii (Sept. 13).

Rita Cosby, of MSNBC, is reporting Chapman was arrested by heavily armed U.S. Marshals at his home in connection with his role in the return of fugitive Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003.

Also arrested were his son and another associate. Bounty hunting appears to be a crime in Mexico where Luster was apprehended. Champan and co were charged and held in 2003 due to the incident and later returned to the U. S. after posting bail. According to Chapman’s wife, they thought the matter was closed.

The heir to the Max Factor cosmetics fortune , Andrew Luster, , was convicted of a series of rapes in 2003. The “Dog’s” bondsmen took Luster into custody in 2003, in Mexico. He was then returned to the U.S. and imprisoned.

Story is still unfolding….

I am confused. I do not understand why we extradite folks to Mexico when Mexico doesn’t extradite folks to the US. I also don’t see why “Dog” gets any sympathy. He did NOT have a contract with the bail bondsman, he was only a couple of hours ahead of the FBI (the tourist who tipped off “Dog” eventually reported the tip to the FBI, so Luster would have been legally brought back to the US even without “Dog”), and “Dog” is a convicted murderer. He is a disgrace to professional bounty hunters everywhere.

If our country sends Dog back to Mexico to face bogus, b.s. charges, that’s it! It’s time to start the 2nd revolution. Our laws are now worthless. Why do we kiss Mexico’s a**? They’re biting the hands that feed them.

If Mexico wants criminals, let’s send about 12 million illegal aliens back to them. It’s odd that our Law Enforcement sent 12 marshals to capture a person for capturing a person that they could not catch, Or was this a political move on the Bush White House

I think that is stupid to arrest Dog. If I had money on someone and they went to Mexico I would have went after him also. Feed your kids or disobey a stupid crime(which shouldnt be anyway). I would choose to feed my family. Sorry. Sounds like to me Mexico is so corrupt they dont even want criminals caught. Mental!!!!

TURN THE DOG LOSE! YOU DO THE CRIME LET YOU BE HUNTED DOWN LIKE THE DOG YOU ARE. YOUR RUN BETTER BE WEARY, THAT A BOUNTY HUNTER WILL GET YOU. DON’T MATTER WHERE ON EARTH YOU RUN. ONCE YOU COMMITTED THE DEED, BE READY TO BE HUNTED. GREAT JOB Duane “Dogâ€? Chapman IT SOULD NOT MATTER WHERE THE SUSPECT RUNS YOU SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO APERHEND THE SUSPECT NO MATTER WHERE THEY RUN. ANY COUNTRY THAT PROTECTS ONE COMMITTED A CRIME SHOULD DO EVERY THING TO IN SURE THERE CAPTURE.
