Rehab in Training

Episode 2 of Breaking Bonaduce left me with one major questions on my mind. Is taking steroids and working closely with an adult film star a good way to beat drug addiction and avoid cheating on your wife?

Early on, we see Danny tell his wife and doctor the story about the first time he did crack. Danny thought he should give it a chance. It obviously hasn’t worked out well for him and now he’s trying to turn over a new leaf. Danny is becoming a workout junkie and he’s decided to give steroids a shot (literally).

Another diminsion to his new fitness persona is that he has become a certified personal trainer. Maybe keeping himself busy will keep him out of trouble. All of his clients turn out to be 20 year old girls, one of whom has some movies that Danny keeps under his bed. (He said that, not me) His wife, already aware of his previous affairs with other women, would prefer he not train the actress. After promising his wife he would stop training her, Danny changes his mind and keeps her on as a client.

After the first episode ended, with me thinking Danny is really committed to getting things together, I’m really not so sure now. He continues to set him self up for trouble.

The show ended with a trip to the physician for Danny. Some testing revealed that his life of drug and alcohol abuse is taking a toll on his body. His doctor advises that any dangerous activities need to cease. The same advice that his family, psychologist, and everyone else has been saying. Will he finally listen?
