Springfield wins at the buzzer

Denzel Lassiter did it again. Lassiter repeated his late-game heroics for Springfield, but this time his three-pointer from the left wing was at the buzzer, lifting the Wildcats to a 61-60 win over Lebanon in a Division I boys basketball tournament game. Lassiter finished with 12 points, on all three pointers.

Lebanon’s Dusty Isaacs scored 17 points to lead all scorers. The Warriors finish the season with a 7-14 record.

Springfield advances to face Northmont in the sectional final on Sunday, March 7 at 3:30 p.m. The game will be played at UD Arena.
