Middletown hosting La Salle in OHSAA Foundation Game

Middletown is hosting an Ohio High School Athletic Association Foundation Game (scrimmage) vs. La Salle on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Wade E. Miller Gym.

The varsity game will start at 6 p.m., with freshmen and junior varsity games slated for 3 and 4:30 p.m., respectively.

Tickets will be $6 for adults and $4 for students. Proceeds will benefit the OHSAA Foundation Fund and the Bill Brewer Children Education Fund.

Lakota West’s Hicks named Butkus finalist

Lakota West High senior OLB Jordan Hicks is one of five finalists for the high school Butkus Award, which honors the nation’s top linebackers.

Joining Hicks are: Khairi Fortt (Stamford, Conn.); Dakota Royer (Lancaster, Pa.); Hayes Pullard (Los Angeles, Calif.); and Jeff Luc (Port St. Lucie, Fla.).

The winner is expected to be announced on or before Dec. 8.
