‘Hostile environment’ awaits Lakota West
In six home games this season, the Anderson Redskins averaged a whopping 53.3 points per game.
Their pistol offense — which accounted for 3,655 yards and 59 rushing TDs in the regular season — looms for Lakota West when the Firebirds visit Anderson on Saturday night, Nov. 7, in a Division I, Region 4 quarterfinal.
“Obviously it will be a hostile environment,” West coach Larry Cox said, “but we’re used to that in our league. Our last two games have been on the road, and this is just another road game. Our kids are looking forward to the challenge.”
The Firebirds are 1-2 all-time at Anderson.
“It’s always nice to be at home,” Redskins’ coach Jeff Giesting said. “Your routine doesn’t change, you’re in the same locker room, those kind of things. The crowd will obviously help us. Hopefully that can play a part it in. When it’s all said and done, you have to play between the white lines. But it’s helpful and comfortable to be at home.”

You mean they don’t expect Anderson to just roll over & play dead for the “Chosen One” aka Jordan Hicks? How dare they not just go ahead & forfeit!
