Lakota East grad Kohs to play hoops overseas

Lakota East High product Nick Kohs has signed to play basketball overseas for the Giro Live Ballers of Osnabruck in the Pro A league in Germany.

Kohs, a 2005 East graduate, signed a one-year contract with a player option for the second year. He leaves for Germany in early August.

Kohs (6-8, 225) recently wrapped up a successful four-year career at Christian Brothers University, where he earned first-team, all-American honors his senior year.

He averaged 21.2 points and 9.5 rebounds a game in ‘08-‘09 to lead the Bucs to the Division II Elite Eight.
