Area players listed on Academic All-Ohio baseball list
Several Hamilton and Middletown area baseball players have received 2009 Academic All-Ohio honors, according to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Web site.
Cincinnati Christian’s Josh Lanphier, Lebanon’s Logan Baker and Zach Schnee, Madison’s Andy McCoppin and Talawanda’s Josh Claytor, Kyle Elza, Braden Park and Noah Zipko were all on the list.
To be on the list, a player must be a senior in good academic standing, starting 70 percent of all games (or 25 percent for pitchers), be in the top 25 percent of their class and have a combined score of 1,000 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT tests.
