Husted elections complaint dismissed

The Ohio Elections Commission’s probable cause panel today issued an administrative dismissal of a complaint against Maryellen O’Shaughnessy, the Democratic candidate for Ohio secretary of state, according to Chris Hughes, assistant to the commission.

The complaint filed by the campaign of state Sen. Jon Husted, R-Kettering, accused O’Shaughnessy of falsely claiming in a television advertisement that Husted has a record of accepting illegal campaign contributions.

The panel failed to reach a majority vote on the complaint, said Hughes.

“The OEC panel simply ruled on what we already knew to be true: Jon Husted is grasping at straws, lying to voters any way he can think to,” said Heidi Hubmann, spokeswoman for O’Shaughnessy, who is Franklin Co. Clerk of Courts.

Husted spokesman Ryan Frazee declined comment.

You people need to keep watching fox. the station that deals in lies. they do not even bother to report the truth. Reading these comments proves it. If you think Republicans care about your Social Security, the last laugh is on you. If you would have looked into the 500 billion Medicare cost , you would find out it might have been the only thing to save it. they were not going to cut Medicare…Fox preys on the minds of old feeble minded people, and it is working.

John Husted has benefitted from partisan politics more than anyone I can remember. Are you forgetting that local politicians split strictly along party lines when asked to determine whether he lived in Kettering or Upper Arlington? As I recall, his electric and water bills proved pretty clearly that he was living somewhere other than Kettering, yet his Republican comrades wouldn’t vote against him.

Perhaps DDN doesn’t report opposing views because DDN doesn’t agree with them. Just a thought… This is just another example of abusing authority. We need a balanced government, but right now our govt is all the way to the far left. Our country is mostly central right, so our govt doesn’t reflect the will of the citizens of America. It does, however, reflect the will of the special interest groups, communists, community organizations, Black Panthers, NAACP, illegal aliens, and any other group that is considered Anti-American and Anti-Colonial. Think about it. Do you believe that Americans are too rich even if they are getting their food from the food pantry? Do you think Americans should be FORCED to redistribute their money to people who aren’t citizens of America, like illegal aliens who are getting Social Security benefits, medical care, food stamps (most Americans don’t qualify, but somehow illegal aliens DO), etc. Why isn’t our govt being forced to pay back to Social Security what the Democrats robbed from the “lock box”??? Is there anyone out there that is looking out for our elderly, or are you okay with Obama/Socialists robbing $500BILLION from medicare to help pay for the hc fiasco entitlement bill? Do you think it is okay to force our hc premiums up to levels where we working people can no longer afford the good hc we use be able to get? I had to pick an alternate hc plan because I couldn’t afford over $300/month for my hc. Now, I have to pay a HUGE deductible before my hc will pay for ANYTHING. And that’s just for a SINGLE, not for FAMILY. This is not workable, it’s not fair, and the hc bill needs to be repealed before it does any more damage. Already businesses aren’t hiring because of the penalty fees or taxes (or whatever Obama is calling it now)… When will enough be enough? Vote straight Republican ticket. I did, except I voted for Constitutionalist over DeWine because he voted for illegal aliens to get Social Security benefits (along with John McCain who also voted for this bill!!). That’s why John McCain didn’t win. Because he really isn’t a Republican. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is a Republican and I now would vote for her for President if she runs.

How can you be more fair and balanced than offering Husted’s camp a chance to reply. When someone is given a chance to do that and declines,it tells me they have something to hide.

What happened to fair and balanced reporting? Where is the opposite point of view in this article? DDN even repeated the accusation…Does anyone else remember when Jennifer Brunner refused to investigate those hundreds of thousands of fraudulent voter claims last presidential election? What does it sound like is happening here? To me, it sounds like someone is getting away with illegal activity, and being blessed by the progressives who have authority. What do you say that we do something about that today? Vote people in who won’t use you, abuse you, and cast you in the streets to fend for your own lives. Vote republican and then you will be able to find a job and provide for yourself and your family. Don’t believe the progressive socialists lies coming from what use to be the Democratic party. If they have a “D” by their name, then you know you can’t trust them.

Sounds kind of squirrelly to me. I don’t trust our Democratic Progressive Socialist Representatives and have already seen the lengths they will go to get their party elected. Dismissing this complaint is just another example of why we need to get honest people to represent us. This shouldn’t be allowed to go on. We need someone to investigate these proceedings imo.

“The panel failed to reach a majority vote on the complaint.” How did the vote break down among the members of the OEC panel? I like the way spokeswoman Hubmann continues to spit mud. I don’t know her, but she has created an opinion for me.
