Kasich launches second statewide TV ad
Republican John Kasich on Sunday, Aug. 22, launched a second statewide TV ad in his campaign for governor against Democratic incumbent Ted Strickland.
In the ad, Kasich and state Auditor Mary Taylor, the GOP lieutenant governor candidate, are sitting in a diner talking to people about state budget problems and what Kasich says is the need to lower taxes and slim down government.
“We’re going to get the job done for the people of the state and we’re not going to let you down,” Kasich says in the ad. He does not mention Strickland.
Lis Smith, Strickland’s campaign spokeswoman, responded:
“Ted’s actions speak louder than Congressman Kasich’s words. Ted has done what Congressman Kasich only talks about- he has balanced two budgets while cutting spending and lowering taxes.”

Kasich says wonderful things but has not provided any information about what he would actually do. Given he campaigned for eliminating the income tax but without ever providing any info about what he would cut or what taxes he would raise instead, I simply don’t trust Kasich.

During the Bush Republican years, 98 % of the electorate considered the nation on the wrong track. Now a right winger says it’s only 70 percent. If anyone thinks Fox News stats are credible? That’s an improvement of 28 %. Now, that’s change we all can believe in.

Kasich’s actions, using his political conections to get Ohio pension funds to invest with his bankrupt Lehmans in his two person office and lose millions of dollars for Ohio workers while Kasich made nearly a million dollars. Kasich knows all about privatizing the profits and socializing the losses he’s lived it. Those are not actions anyone should vote for.

I hope the citizens of this once proud state can agree with the national polls indicating 70% think the country is on the wrong track.Keeping more of your hard earned money versus more tax and spend, that is what your vote in November is all about! A choice that could not be more clear with 70% of voters nationally!

I am of the belief actions speak louder than words. Strickland tells us one thing, and his actions show quite a different story. America is getting better at seeing through these ‘political’ lies. Remember in November!

Kasich’s plan for creating jobs in Ohio is “The Sun going to come up again.” That’s his TV ad. No such thing as Pro-Jobs Republican. Unless you consider a minimum wage temp job with no benifits a real job.

I just don’t know what record Strickland is going to run on. We’re hurting here and he doesn’t seem to care.
