Brown and Obama: Total BFFs?

Sen. Sherrod Brown, who just this week moved into the office formerly occupied by President Barack Obama, capped the week by spending a whole lot of time with the new president.

Brown, D-Ohio, was among the attendees at the White House Health Care Summit Thursday.

And Friday, March 6, he’ll be among those attending the Columbus Police Academy Graduation with Obama. Obama’s coming to Columbus in part to tout his economic stimulus plan, which kept the 25 police recruits from being laid off.

What President Obama would tell them is that he will do a hell of a lot more for them than the Republicans who allowed them to lose their jobs and the Republicans who say NO to anything which would help them now that they are part of the horrific economy which the Republcians caused to happen.Maybe Obama would tell them that their unemployment benefits will not run out under his stimulus plan, but would if the Republicans had their way. Maybe Obama would tell them that their health insurance will remain in force which wouldn’t happen if the Republcians had their way. Maybe Obama would tell them that even though the Republcians allowed this dismal economy to happen with their tax cuts for the wealthy and no regulations on Republican bankers and spectulators, at last they have someone now in the White House who will fight for jobs for them and not more tax cuts for wealthy Republican political donors. Maybe Obama would tell them that after the Republicans allowed the PRIVATE SECTOR to dive into a near (I hope not) depression, he will do his best to stop the slide which the Republicans caused and stimulate the PRIVATE SECTOR to actually create jobs, not ship them to other countries for which the Republcians awarded tax breaks, Does that answer your question, Gregg?

I wonder if Obama can go to Wilmington Ohio and tell 10,000 out of work DHL employees what his stimulus package is going to do for them in the private sector?
