New Madison superintendent is on the job

Madison Local Schools Superintendent Tom York is now on the job.

York’s first day was May 1.

“It’s going very well,” York said today.

Since he started, York said he’s been getting his office in order and had the chance to attend a Lions Club dinner that recognized students.

“That was fun, it’s always good to see and hear kids and what their plans are,” he said.

York also said he’s ran into a lot of familiar faces and former students of his that are now teachers at Madison.

York will attend his first school board meeting Monday, May 11.
