Whooping cough in schools
Two cases of whooping cough have been reported in Carlisle schools, according to the Superintendent Mike Griffith . Griffith said the district was notified Monday, March 2, that a boy at the high school and a boy at the primary school had confirmed cases.
He said the students were not at school that day and are under doctors’ care. “There have been no other signs of it,” Griffith said, adding the school is monitoring the situation.
Notifying letters were sent home Monday with elementary students and an automated call was made to parents of other students.
