Franklin to discuss new opening

The Franklin Board of Education will be privately discussing their business manager position during their regular meeting Monday.

Franklin’s current business manager Tom York was hired last week as superintendent of Madison Local Schools. He will start that job May 1.

Franklin board President Chris Sizemore said the school board knew when they hired York that he ultimately wanted to be a superintendent. He had retired after seven years as a superintendent with Edgewood City Schools before coming to Franklin.

Sizemore said Friday the school board hadn’t yet had a chance to discuss if and how to fill the opening in their district.
