School to hire new superintendent
The Madison Board of Education will meet Thursday to consider employing Tom York as superintendent.
York is the former Edgewood schools superintendent, who worked as Madison’s assistant high school principal for two years in the mid-90s.
Board President Tim Young said he is excited about bringing York on board and said the tentative start date would be in May.
The board will discuss the hiring at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in the Administration Building, 1324 Middletown Eaton Road.

Same old errors from the Journal. One can read this paper everyday and find that the proof reader cannot read.

TIM York is excited about hiring TOM York. TOM York retired from the Edgewood superintendants job and now is doin’ the old “double-dippin’ thing with Madison. This is another “recycle the old farts” opportunity within the educational system of close knit nepotism. That’s why things never change in the schools. Same old faces breed same old ideas. Some people just don’t know when to get out of the way, do they?

So sorry on the Tim York mistake. It’s now corrected to say Board President Tim Young.
