High schoolers head to inauguration
For more than 100 days, Madison High School senior Hannah Fassler has had a countdown in her planner.
She’s been anxiously flipping the pages, looking forward to this weekend, when she and 10 of her classmates will join other local students on a trip to Washington D.C. for the presidential inauguration.
“It’s very exciting,” Hannah said. “It’s kind of hard to put into words because it’s a once in a lifetime thing.”
“How many other high school seniors get to do this?”
Not many. Not many adults get to take a trip like this either, though there are a few handfuls of people from the area I know are going.
If they have time, Madison tripgoers will be keeping a blog while in Washington.
