Arguments in land transfer appeal

A ruling in the appeal by Middletown City Schools on the decision to deny the transfer of land into the district is inching closer.

Franklin City Schools and the State Board of Education have both filed their arguments in the case in the 10th District Court of Appeals. Middletown has until Dec. 15 to enter a reply. A panel of 3 judges will review the briefs and either make a ruling or hear oral arguments.

Franklin schools and the Ohio State Board of Education entered their response to Middletown’s arguments and both said there is no evidence that the lower court abused it discretion.
