Board accepting applications
Anyone interested in the vacant seat on the Franklin school board should submit a resume and letter of interest.
The board voted at their meeting Monday to accept the resignation of Vice President John Griffo contingent on receiving his resignation in writing.
The board will be discussing how to fill his seat at their retreat at noon today, said President Chris Sizemore. They will likely be accepted applications for the next two weeks, he said.
The board will also be discussing the district’s goals and setting goals for and evaluating Superintendent Arnol Elam, who began his job just before the start of the school year.
They will also be continuing ongoing work on a survey that would gauge community satisfaction with the district and support of year-round school, Sizemore said.
He said the meeting will be the board’s first retreat since he was elected to the board two years ago.
