Franklin to consider adminstrative posts
The Franklin Board of Education is set to vote Monday on hiring Edgewood Superintendent Tom York as business manager through the end of the school year.
York has been serving as interim business manager. He had been superintendent at Edgewood since 2001 and served on and off with the district for 24 years, earning $105,770 his final year.
The proposed contract would be valid through July 31, 2009 and outlines a salary of $82,0000.
The board will also set a public hearing to consider rehiring Steve Buerschen, director of educational services.
Buerschen is set to retire Dec. 31 and the district will consider his rehiring at a meeting set for 6:45 p.m. Nov. 24.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in the Hampton Bennett Administration Building.
