Some days, the guy being arrested just wants to fight
DAYTON March 3 A patrolling officer observed a wanted male at East Fifth Street and Patterson Boulevard. The officer explained to the subject that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest and instructed the subject to hold his hands out so he could be handcuffed. He refused and a struggle ensued. The subject tried twice to punch the officer in the face but didn’t connect. The officer pulled out his Taser and the subject got on the ground, on his stomach. He was placed in handcuffs and put in the cruiser, where he went on a “tirade.” The subject told the officer he’d do a better job the next time the officer tries to arrest him. He also said the officer better have backed up because he’ll punch him in the face. The subject continued with this talk en route to jail. He was charged with resisting arrest and the warrant.
