Dad Ditches Kids for Chinese Food
ENGLEWOOD June 10 A resident on Dartford Road called police after returning home to discover that her husband left their two kids home alone while he went to get Chinese food in Trotwood.
The kids - 4 years and 18 months old - were left alone before by their father, the mother said.
Officers spoke with the male who said he “made a mistake.” He also said he left the kids alone for about 15 minutes while he went to China Cottage on Shiloh Springs Road. The man explained that he thought it was more dangerous to transport the kids without their car seats which were still in his wife’s vehicle.
He was charged with child endangering.
