Hello, it’s me: You’re under arrest
DAYTON April 8 A patrolling officer observed a known subject sitting on the cement wall near Huntington Bank and U.S. Bank on Ludlow Street. She is a constant problem downtown and has been arrested several times for panhandling. The officer saw the subject ask a passing male for money. He then drove around the block and parked his cruiser, approaching her on foot. He stood behind the subject as she asked four different people for money. They all waved her off. They also saw the officer, but the subject was unaware he was standing behind her. He then sat down next to her, but she didn’t realize he was there because her back was to him. The subject then turned in the officer’s direction. She stated, “Oh, expletive. Just give me a ticket.” The officer informed her that she was going to jail for panhandling without a permit and panhandling in a restricted area.

As much as I dislike the panhandlers, I find the following amusing: Dayton requires panhandlers pay a $15 annual registration fee in Dayton to beg for money, and Sheriff Plummer requires decades old homeless registered sex offenders living under bridges - who can’t afford food - to pay a $100 annual registration fee. Good thing Plummer wasn’t around 2000 years ago - he’d of made Jesus pay for his own cross.

All the drug dealing, robbery, and murders that are going on and Plummer’s cops are worried about petty, little, victimless crimes like panhandling without a permit? What a joke! Panhandlers are such a threat to my family and my lively hood. Next week, they’re cracking down on Jay Walkers and litterers. LOL! Pretty soon Plummer will be on the corner asking for money too. We’re just waiting for the election.

I wish Mont. county would charge these bums. I’m sick of the dude in the wheelchair rolling out in front of me near the Traffic Circle or WalMart on Miller. With no leg, you know that dude gets a check!
