Shopper blames self-scan for incorrect grocery bill; Officer doesn’t buy it
ENGLEWOOD April 14: Officers responded to Walmart, 7725 Hoke Road, on a shoplifting complainant and spoke with the female subject. A Walmart loss prevention employee told officers the subject checked out through a self-scan line and didn’t ring up all the items in her cart. Her groceries totaled approximately $110. The receipt didn’t reflect all the items in the grocery cart. There was a total of $73.50, before tax, not accounted for. When told to walk to the police cruiser, the subject stated she had three kids at home. She then stated, “I did not do anything wrong. I missed scanning one or two items; the machine is not working right. This is not my fault.” One of the officers told the subject he could understand if it was one or two items, but no one is going to believe she accidentally didn’t scan more than $70 worth of items. The officer also pointed out that the amount was more than half of her total bill. She was issued a summons on a charge of theft.

Maybe she was stupid enough to think that ALL items in the store was buy 1 get 1 free, and just simply bypassed the scanner. Or maybe she just thought she could get one over on ole walmart.. Guess not, What a loser!By MV

Why does everything in the world revert back to President Obama? He doesn’t blame Bush for his incompetence he blames him for screwing up the last 8 years like the majority of the world does! This argument is stupid, but regardless.. LB - All former Presidents are referred to as “Mr. President” for the rest of their lives. Besides, how did that lady get through the self scanner with that much stuff? That’s like, 20 items or less, right? She should be arrested for THAT! Ha!By Heavy
