Sticks and stones may break my bones…

DAYTON April 9 Police were called after a complainant reported she was assaulted at Belmont Billiards, 820 Watervliet Ave. The complainant, who is white, said she was having a few drinks and used the “N” word. A male customer took offense and said something to her. She responded by telling him that she has black children and is not a bigot. The argument continued and she said she spit on the male. The complainant said she ended up in the bathroom and when she came out, the owner of the Belmont Billiards (subject) grabbed her by the neck, pushed her into a pool table and held her there. She then remembered her friends getting her and getting her out of the business. The complainant did have bruises on her left arm and left knee, and redness on the neck. She said the subject caused the marks on her neck but was unsure about how she got the other bruises. The subject told police the complainant is a regular and that he goes to her job, Belmont Party Supplies, to buy liquor. He said she was out of control and got into a fight with another customer but he wasn’t sure what it was over. The subject did say he saw her hit the other customer and spit in his face. The customer in turn spat on her and that’s when the subject intervened. The subject said the complainant continued yelling and screaming and went after the customer a second time, but fell. He said he grabbed the complainant by the throat when she tried to grab his genitals. It was almost closing time and everyone left.
