2 women, 1 candlestick holder - Duck!

DAYTON April 10 A resident in the 100 block of Melba Street called police and reported that he was hit in the head by a female relative. Officers arrived and observed the complainant holding a blood-soaked rag to his forehead, covering a deep laceration. The complainant’s live-in girlfriend told police he was hit with a candlestick holder and showed them a 6-inch round holder that was on the floor and broken in two. The complainant said his girlfriend’s friend, who was not on-scene at the time, had been there and she threw the holder at him. He was taken to Grandview Hospital, where he told officers his girlfriend and her friend were in the apartment hanging out earlier, while he was talking to someone outside. When he came into the apartment, the two women were arguing and his girlfriend was accusing her friend of having a relationship with the complainant. The complainant walked into the kitchen and saw them throwing small candlestick holders at each other. He said he was standing between the kitchen and living room when the next thing he knew, he’d been hit in the head with the large holder. The complainant told police he couldn’t identify which female hit him with it.
