Fast food worker renders cash register inoperable, tells police he blacked out

VANDALIA Jan. 31: An employee of Taco Bell, 323 E. National Road, went into a rage and threw trays, cups and broke a register. The employee left the eatery after his fit but returned and started to pick up things. The general manager asked him to leave. The subject came to the police department the next day at the officer’s request. He told police he blacked out and when he came around, he saw that he had destroyed the restaurant. The subject said the stress just got to him and he flipped out. He was issued a summons and provided with a court date. The register was rendered inoperable and must be replaced. It will cost about $2,000.
