Man nabbed on OVI charge found to suspected Army deserter, too

CENTERVILLE Feb. 15: An officer stopped a male driver at West Franklin Street and Westerfield Drive. The 19-year-old was determined to have been driving while under the influence of alcohol. He resisted arrest and after a brief struggle was taken into custody. He was also charged with obstructing official business, drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was taken to jail where he was entered as a wanted person by the U.S. Army for desertion.
