Dramatic OT win for RedHawks
The Miami RedHawks erased an 11-point deficit in the final 2:38 of regulation and secured a dramatic 62-57 overtime victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles in Wednesday’s Mid-American Conference game at Millett Hall.
The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the RedHawks, who were led by Julian Mavunga with 19 points. He sank 13-of-17 free throws and also had a career-high 19 rebounds.
Jon Harris sent the game to overtime when he drilled a 3-point basket with 17.4 seconds left in regulation. Miami’s 12-1 run down the stretch of the second half was sparked by a steal and lay-up by Quinten Rollins, who finished with 10 points.

The Miami RedHawks, looking to break a four-game losing streak, lead the Eastern Michigan Eagles 22-19 at halftime tonight at Millett Hall.
Josh Sewell and Drew McGhee each have six points for Miami, which ended the half on a 16-8 run. EMU’s Derek Thompson hit two 3-point baskets, both banked in, in the final 1:01.
