Two big plays highlight Miami scrimmage

Miami University’s football team held an hour-long scrimmage on Friday night at Yager Stadium as part of its spring practice.

Two highlights were an interception return for a touchdown from sophomore-to-be defensive back Demetrius Quarles and a long touchdown pass from junior quarterback Zac Dysert to sophomore wide receiver Nick Harwell.

Dysert looked strong and appears to have recovered fully from the lacerated spleen which sidelined him late last season.

Miami’s annual Spring Game scrimmage will be held Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m.
