Miami wins another thriller on the road
For the second straight week the Miami RedHawks won a thriller on the road, beating the Toledo Rockets 68-66 when Julian Mavunga scored on a putback with 4 seconds remaining.
On the previous Saturday Jon Harris hit a 3-point basket with 2 seconds remaining as Miami won at Eastern Michigan 58-56.

Miami has outshot the Broncos 18-10, including 10-2 in the second period.

Miami has extended its lead over Western Michigan to 3-0 in the second period.
Andy Miele scored his 17th goal of the season at the 8:13 mark of the period. Reilly Smith and Trent Vogelhuber had assists. It extended Miele’s point streak to 11 games.
At the 8:04 mark of the period. Curtis McKenzie made it 3-0 when he deflected in a shot from the point from Vincent LoVerde.

Miami leads Western Michigan 1-0 through one period at Steve Cady Arena.
Matt Tomassoni scored on the power play at the 14:33 mark of the opening period for Miami. Bryan Paulazzo and Vincent LoVerde drew the assists.
Both teams have shots on goal in the first 20 minutes.

TweetRedHawks lead Rockets at half
The Miami RedHawks lead the Toledo Rockets at halftime 30-29 tonight, Feb. 12 at Savage Arena.
The RedHawks led the Rockets by as many as nine points, but Miami’s Julian Mavunga missed the final 11 minutes after committing his second foul. Soon after Mavunga went to the bench, the Rockets went on an 11-2 run.
Nick Winbush has scored eight points for Miami, which is seeking its fourth straight win.
Malcolm Griffin has scored 11 for Toledo, which has lost six straight and 11 of its last 12.
