By Pete Conrad

The second-ranked Miami RedHawks scored six goals in a span of 13 minutes, 4 seconds to take a 6-2 lead over the Ohio State Buckeyes after two periods of their Central Collegiate Hockey Association game tonight, Feb. 26 at Steve Cady Arena.

Six different players scored for Miami: Andy Miele, Trent Vogelhuber, Justin Vaive, Tommy Wingels, Jarod Palmer and Vincent LoVerde.

Sergio Somma and John Albert each scored for OSU in the second period. Neither team had scored in the first period.

Miami’s Reilly Smith had two assists in a span of 17 seconds on the goals by Palmer and LoVerde.

The six goals were the most scored in a period this season by the RedHawks.
