Final: Temple 64, Miami 42

The Temple Owls overwhelmed the Miami RedHawks 64-42 at Millett Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 8, the most lopsided home loss for Miami in eight years.

Lavoy Allen led Temple with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Miami, which has lost two straight at home, fell to 2-6. Kenny Hayes and Nick Winbush each scored 10 for the RedHawks.

Miami still trails Temple big time

The Temple Owls lead the MiamI RedHawks 56-29 With 6:35 left in the second half tonight, Dec. 8 at Millett Hall.

Miami, which trailed 36-16 at halftime, had pulled to within 14 points of the Owls early in the second half but could not sustain its momentum.

Temple leads Miami by 20 at half

The Temple Owls used a 25-0 run over a 9-minute span of the first half to take a 36-16 halftime lead over the MiamI RedHawks tonight, Dec. 8 at Millett Hall.

Luis Guzman leads the Owls with 12 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the 3-point stripe.

Nick Winbush has eight points for the RedHawks, whoa re 6-for-20 from the field.

Temple trouncing Miami early

The Temple Owls hold a 30-6 lead over the Miami RedHawks with 7:41 left in the first half tonight, Dec. 8 at Millett Hall.

The Owls are on a 25-0. Miami’s last points came on a 3-point basket by Kenny Hayes at the 16:06 mark.

The RedHawks are 2-for-12 from the field. Temple is 12-for-19 and has knocked down 6-of-10 baskets from the 3-point arc.
