UK pulls to within 3 of Miami at halftime

The fourth-ranked Kentucky Wildcats ended the first half with an 18-3 run but still trail the Miami RedHawks 39-36 at halftime at Rupp Arena.
Miami’s Nick Winbush buried six of the RedHawks’ 10 baskets from the 3-point arc over the first 20 minutes.
Winbush is 6-for-6 from the arc and leads all scorers with 18 points. Miami is 10-for-16.
At one point Miami led by 18 points over the Wildcats, 36-18 with 7:04 remaining in the half, following a 22-2 run.
John Wall leads UK with 10 points and Patrick Patterson has nine points and four rebounds.
