Woods back on the field for Miami football
By Pete Conrad
Wide receiver and senior co-captain Dustin Woods, who has been injured and forced to miss most of summer practice so far, was back on the field today, Aug. 24, working out.
“It’s good to see Woods back,” Miami coach Mike Haywood said. “He did a good job to get back into the mix today.”
Woods has undergone three shoulder surgeries over the last three years.
Miami released an updated depth chart today and Wood was not listed at wideout, and neither was Eugene Harris, because of nagging injuries which have prevented them from practicing. But both are key members of this offense and will prove it, perhaps as early as the season opener against Kentucky.
For now, the depth chart at wide receiver lists Chris Givens, Armand Robinson and Jamal Rogers at first string.
In reality, all five receivers are legitimate first stringers. All five are capable of catching 30 or more passes this fall.
