Miami offense scored early, but not often
By Pete Conrad
Miami University’s offense scored just 10 points in the scrimmage today at Yager Stadium, all from the first-string offense against the first-string defense.
The game’s first possession was a 65-yard drive capped by a 1-run quarterback sneak for a touchdown by senior Daniel Raudabaugh.
The first string’s second possession, also directed by Raudabaugh, ended with a 39-yard field goal by Seth Philip.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Zac Dysert saw action with both the first and second strings, true freshman quarterback Austin Boucher ran a few plays for the second string, and quarterback Clay Belton ran a couple possessions for the second string.
Raudabaugh finished 6-for-15 passing for 61 yards and ran nine times for 36 yards. Dysert was 8-for-11 passing for 51 yards and Belter was 3-for-4 for 23 yards. Boucher was 0-for-1.
Four running backs — Danny Green, J.R. Taylor, Thomas Merriweather and Roman Lawson, combined to rush 26 times for 40 yards.
