What local bars are doing in memory of Michael Jackson
Regardless of what you think about Michael Jackson the person, it’s hard to argue the fact that we’ve lost a music and entertainment legend.
Thursday night, just hours after Jackson’s death spread, local bars and patrons spent their evening remembering Michael Jackson — whether through jukebox tunes just about anywhere, a special Michael Jackson tribute karaoke at Therapy Cafe and we’re sure many more.
Those tributes to Michael Jackson are expected to continue. Here are some special events we know of coming up:
80S NIGHT AND MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE
What: In this special edition of 80s night, South Beach will be paying tribute to Michael Jackson. The kitchen will be open late and DJ Chris Rock will be mixing old MJ hits and playing some of his videos on the big screen.
When: Friday, June 26, 2009. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Where: South Beach Nite Club, 729 Lyons Road, Centerville
Cost: Regular cover charge applies
MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE AT ATMOSPHERE
What: DJ Doug Collins will be playing the ultimate medley of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits. All the major videos, all the classics, all the memories of the greatest entertainer who has ever walked this planet.
When: Saturday, June 27. Doors open at 10 p.m. with MJ tribute around midnight or 12:30 p.m.
Where: Atmosphere Nightclub, 507 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Centerville

MICHAEL JACKSON/JACKSON 5/JACKSONS TRIBUTE
What: Join DJ’s Jay, Heather and Bruce for L’80’s Night. The L’80’s Night DJ’s will be spinning career spanning tracks (not just 80s) throughout the evening. So you better start practicing your “Thriller” moves now.

Where: Therapy Cafe, 452 E. Third St., Dayton
Cost: Free for everyone 18 and older; drinks are on you, of course. But check out the new L’80’s Night drink specials.
‘80S NIGHT SPECIAL EDITION
What: Break out your white gloves or your red leather pants for a Michael Jackson costume contest. You could moonwalk away with an $80 gas card. Plus, enjoy plenty of Michael Jackson tunes during this special edition of 80s night.
When: Tuesday, June 30, starting at 9 p.m.
Where: Vex nightclub, 101 S. St. Clair St., Dayton
Cost: Free for guys 21 and older and ladies 18 and older; $3 for guys 18-20. Drink specials include $1 PBRs, $3 “Strong” Islands and more

Clearly you two have no idea what acquitted means. This country is based upon innocent until proven guilty. He was never proven guilty.

He was a very talented man, to bad he had so many problems, it’s so sad he’s life ended the way it did. Maybe now he will have peace.

No one believed in what Mike stood for more than children. He was a very unique individual and though he was quirky..the man loved the worlds’ children, not like the public has made it look but how God wants all to look at-the children our-our future! Listen to “Man in the Mirror”, Then look at yourself in the mirror…then realize who MJ really was. Greatness and world admiration only come to a very chosen few.
