Three Dayton bar events not to be missed
Three bar events worth your time and money this weekend.
Beer Pong at Fricker’s Vandalia
Are you a “champion at beer pong, Allen Iverson, Hakeem Olajuwon?” Then step up at Fricker’s in Vandalia this Friday and prove it. Entry into the bracket tournament is $25 per team and the winners get a trip to Las Vegas. Of course you must be 21 to play.
Where: Fricker’s North, 22 Foley Dr., Vandalia
When: 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 26
The bite: Free to watch, $25 per team to enter.
Final Fridays at Therapy Café
“It’s over, it’s finished. Wave to it. Bye Charlie! Bye Charlie!” (*A gold star and sense of self worth if you can identify this movie quote.)
OK, so June isn’t quite over yet, but at least it’s time for Final Friday’s at Therapy Café. This month’s edition will feature dance and house music with DJ John Chapel and Alex Testa, plus food until 11 p.m.
Where: Therapy Café, 452 E. Third St., Dayton
When: Friday, June 26
The bite: No cover before 10 p.m., then $5 for guys 21 and up and ladies 18 and up.
Bud Girls Car Wash at Brixx Ice Co.
If your car isn’t good and dirty, better go find some mud puddles. The Bud Girls will be washing cars for charity outside Brixx Ice Co. from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 27. There’s no set fee, just donate whatever you think those sudsy girls hosing down your ride are worth. All the money will go to charities Brixx Ice Co. supports, including the United Way and the Red Cross.
It’s also National Cornhole Day and Brixx will be celebrating with free cornhole on the patio all day. Plus make sure you sign up for their July Fourth cornhole tournament.
