Schlitz beer goes old school, plans launch events around town
Schlitz — the beer that made Milwaukee famous — is going back to a “Classic ’60s Formula” and is planning several launch parties on June 18 around Dayton to celebrate the liquid time-warp.
For those wishing to sample the 1960s formula at the launch parties (which are to include 60s music, gusto girls and raffles) here’s a couple of places you can go:
6:15-7:30 p.m. - Kramer’s Tavern (1018 Irving Avenue - (937) 294-9141)
7:45-9 p.m. - Jimmie’s Cornerstone Bar & Grill (1001 Brown Street - (937) 424-1784)
9-10 p.m. - Blind Bob’s (430 East 5th Street - (937) 938-6405)
“Our goal was to bring back the taste of the ’60s when beer wasn’t watered down,” said Brad Hittle, Chief Marketing Officer at Schlitz. “The response has been overwhelming, and we’re proud to bring back the beer that generations of Schlitz lovers enjoyed for years.”
“Schlitz wants to reconnect with its once core group of consumers,” added Hittle. “We are confident that the return of the classic formula in heritage inspired packaging delivered with an old school, gusto attitude will do the job.”
