TweetBigg’s triples coupons this week
Oh, there is nothing quite like the savings of a triple coupon!
Beginning Friday, Oct. 2, Bigg’s stores will be tripling coupons as part of its special birthday bash celebrating 25 years of serving area customers. Coupon values will be tripled up to 50 cents and doubled up to $1. The limit is two identical manufacturer coupons, according to a store press release.
The triple coupon special runs through Oct. 5.
In addition, Saturday, Oct. 3, get a Taste of Bigg’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stores will offer a variety of free samples in every department.
To get some of the coupon match-ups for the sale, check out the Little Miss Know It All blog here. She’s got some great savings lined up there!
TweetFive fabulous freebies up for grabs
Here are some freebies I included with my Saturday article you need to grab before they are gone!
Fire truck toy: Spend some quality time with your kids while teaching them a new skill at the Lowe’s Build and Grow clinic today, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Kids will learn how to make their own fire truck and get a pair of safety goggles and an apron free. Pre-register and find out more here
Downy Wrinkle Releaser: Some things in life are meant to be wrinkly, but must would agree that shouldn’t be your clothes. Submit a photo to the Downy Web site of something that is wrinkled and get a print-out coupon for a free travel-sized bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser. Get it here.
Bounce Dryer Bar: It pays to do surveys. Join survey site viewpoints.com and get a free Bounce Dryer Bar to soften and freshen up your clothes in the dryer. Get it at this Web site.
Cereal: There are several free samples of cereal available. These are great for an on-the-go breakfast. Click here for a free sample box of Special K.
Pumpkin carving patterns: There is just something so fun about carving a pumpkin. Don’t pay for those expensive carving kits when all you need is a handy kitchen knife and some good ideas. Right now you can download several free and creative pumpkin patterns for your next jack-o’-lantern. Click here to download up to four different carving patterns for your jack-o-lanterns.
TweetKids make a free fire truck at workshop
Parents, mark your calendars for this Saturday. October is Safety Month, and to kick it off right Lowe’s is hosting a free Build and Grow Clinic where kids can make their own fire truck!
This Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m.-11a.m., Lowe’s will teach your kids how to build a wooden fire truck toy and/or ball toss game. Receive a free pair of goggles and a Lowe’s apron to take home along with your project.
For more information or to register for the clinic, click here.
TweetBig savings ahead at IKEA
There are some big savings ahead at IKEA, so mark your calendar.
IKEA now has weekly specials at its West Chester Twp. store. In addition to the free coffee available every morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the buy one, get one free large breakfast, you can also get discounts on furniture. These savings are only available Monday through Friday.
So for today and tomorrow you can still get the Agne bar stool, on sale for $14.99, down from the regular price of $24.99.
And get ready for next week’s special because starting Monday, Sept. 28, you can get the Klippan sofa in almas red for $249, down from $299. If you don’t like red, well there are other covers you can buy for the couch. I like that you can get different fitted covers for the sofas at IKEA. I have an IKEA sofa and right now it has a red cover but I also have a white one for when I need to wash it or if I ever decide, “Hey, I don’t want a red couch anymore.” Pretty handy.
To get the scoop on all the weekly deals and store specials exclusive to the West Chester Twp. IKEA store, click here.
Also worth noting is that there are several clearance items up for grabs at the local store. I checked it out earlier this week. Right now, there are several different fabrics on sale for $2.99/yard, curtain rods that are expandable on clearance for $3.99, and several duvet covers for $9.99 and less. Look for the yellow signs in store with the “Last Chance” lettering in red to get the discounts. Also, don’t forget to check out the clearance items set up by the “As Is” section on the far side of the store near the registers.
“As Is” is always a good section to scope out as well, many of the items are in good shape, they are just display pieces IKEA is rotating out. My husband and I got some great art prints and a kitchen island at 50 percent off thanks to “As Is” and it was all in just as good of shape as the stuff at full price.
Being frugal doesn’t mean you can’t have it all, it just means that you can have it for less!
TweetFind out how to get free ice cream today
Cold Stone Creamery is giving away free ice cream today to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The ice cream chain is hosting its 8th annual “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social” from 5-8 p.m. at stores across the country. Customers who make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation will receive a 3 ounce sample of “Jack’s Creation”— a combination of sweet cream ice cream mixed with brownie sprinkles and caramel created by a Make-A-Wish child.
From what I recall, the donation must be at least 50 cents. I went last year and the ice cream was good and the money went toward a good cause so it was worth it. I love the sweet cream ice cream at Cold Stone.

TweetGet free Special K cereal
There are a lot of cereal freebies floating around, so far I have gotten them all in the mail. Are you keeping up?
Well, here is another one, this time from Special K. Get a free sample box of cereal when you sign up here.
These are great to grab when you are on the go and it also allows you to try something new.

Fellow blogger Jill Kelley at the Dayton Daily News has posted a sweet offer for bargain hunters. It’s your chance to be in the lime light!
It appears that the folks at The Grocery Game have joined forces with a major Los Angeles-based television production company and are seeking bargain hunters with big personalities for a new reality TV show.
To get the scoop on how you can be part of the show, check out Jill’s blog here.

TweetGet a free bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser
Some things are meant to be wrinkly, but that doesn’t include your clothes.
Right now if you submit a photo of something that is meant to be wrinkled, you can receive a coupon for a free travel-sized bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser. You must submit an original photo to get the bottle. I used a photo of my friend’s pug, Emma, to get mine. It’s the one I have included with this blog. Upload your own photo and get your coupon here.
TweetSave on shoes at 6pm.com
As online shopping becomes more prevalent in an ever-increasingly busy society, so are the Web sites offering the savings.
I was recently alerted by a Here’s the Deal blog reader to a fabulous site that offers some major savings on a common female vice — shoes. And we’re talking name brand.
The Web site, 6pm.com, changes it up daily with shoe specials starting at $9.95 on brands like Adidas, Nike, Jessica Simpson, Steve Madden, Puma and UGG and so many more I cannot possibly name. They offer discounts of more than 75 percent on women’s, men’s and children’s shoes as well as accessories like handbags and sunglasses. Check it out here.
You can search the site by brand name or by price. Subscribe the 6pm.com newsletter and receive e-mailed Daily Deals letting you know what the best bargain is. What seems to be the catch with this site is there is a limited amount of sizes for some styles and a limited amount of each shoe available. You need to check back early and often to make sure you’re not missing out. Also, styles are not necessarily what is new and hot on the rack.
Shipping is also a good deal, at $6.95 for your entire order no matter how much you buy.
You’re dealing with some heavy-hitters when you buy from this site, as it is owned by Amazon.com, which bought previous 6pm.com owner Zappos.com in July for about $850 million.
TweetFree cat food for your furry friend
Much like my husband, my cats never stop eating. So free food is a great thing!
Right now, Catster.com is offering a free 10-oz. bag of Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition cat food if you register on their Web site.
To get this freebies, you must register here and create a profile for your cat with a photo. Doesn’t take very long to do. This site is kind of like the “Facebook” for cats, as far as I can tell. Once you create an account, click here to get your free cat food.
The site offers a lot of different options for your furry friends from kitten-aged on up. Grab your free bag while they last. And hey, maybe you can friend my cat Max while you’re there? ;-)
TweetScare up some fun with this free Evil Ronald McDonald mask
Some people just don’t like clowns. And some people just don’t like meat.
A new freebie is available on the McCruelty.com Web site offering a free Evil Ronald McDonald mask, stickers and pamphlets when you sign up here.
This is a limited addition pack of items. The site appears to be affiliated with PETA. It does say that the items will be delivered before Halloween.

I would check to make sure there are eligible restaurants in your area you would like to dine at before signing up. Get the details here.
Make sure you check what the rules are at the restaurant you want. Some have minimum purchases and automatic gratuities applied. Many exclude alcohol purchases. Still, for the most part it is a good deal! But hurry, some certificates are already out of stock! This offer is only good for the next few days! I bought a couple for some Mexican restaurants. This makes for a pretty cheap night out.
