Walmart hiring 65 temporary workers

If you are unemployed and looking for something to get you by for awhile, Walmart is hiring 65 temporary workers for its remodel at its Moraine location, according to an article by the Dayton Business Journal.

The store, located at 1701 W. Dorothy Lane, is hiring approximately 65 employees to help with the remodel, which is meant to make the store more customer-friendly. The work should be complete in September, according to the article.

The Moraine Walmart can be reached at (937) 643-2718.

I refuse to shop at that location anymore, i love me some wallyworld but one day i walked out with a cart with about 300 dollars in groceries and they actually stopped and asked for a reciept, i guess the 30+ shopping bags in the cart confused them and they thought they’d find an item i didnt pay for.

Remember. If it says ‘Made in China’, please put it back on the shelf.

“Made in China”…well I suggest you check the labels at Beerman’s, Macy’s and Kohl’s. Now what are you gonna do?

First of all, in response to “Wondering”, leave your politcal feelings out of this. It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican, Democrat, Independant, Communist, Marxist or any in between. How many jobs have YOU personally created? I’m guessing none. Liberal whiners? Last I checked, it’s the Republican party that has a spokesman who regularly bursts into tears on national television. “Mike”, I can understand your frustration with this happening to you. Looking at the other side of the story, the door greeter is doing his/her job by doing that. You would be surprised at how often someone stops by a register and grabs some bags when no one is looking, loads them up with items and walks out the door with them. Or loads up a TV, a computer, a suitcase full of DVDs, etc. and walks out the door. Or at how many times someone pays for some of their items but slyly passes other items along with it into their bag with no one any wiser. I used to work there for 6 years and have seen it all. Not defending the company at all, I’ll be the first to say what a horrible company they are. Just presenting the other side of the story to you.

20-30 years from now, as the US competes with China for natural resources…everything in Wal-Mart will be ‘Made in Iraq’.

These “temps” will then be counted in Obama’s job saving category, even if it is only for a month. Ditto with bus drivers. Reports are that there is no new demand for bus drivers being hired either. It’s all politics.

My favorite saying is: We don’t know how to make ANYTHING in the U.S. anymore. But it is true, check the clothes you wear, Bangledash, etc., etc. The government in this country thinks we are Stupid. Do you know how many of these Companies are running their main part of their Business in the Islands. Case in Point, The Bahama’s and no ONE ever checks them out. I have seen how the Money comes back here, no taxes paid and even the IRS does not CARE. But if that were you or I, Oh H…, Watch out.

You can’t really go to a store anymore without finding most of the products on the shelves have a made in China label. 25% of the GDP of China gets shipped directly to Wallymart!! That means 25% of everything made in China goes to Walmart. That is one reason, in part I refuse to shop there. The cheap, or slave labor the Chinese employ is hard to beat for production costs. Gone will be the days of the American middle class.

If you don’t want Walmart to buy from outside the US, just check the labels and buy only items made in the US. There is no company in the world that pays more attention to their shoppers habits than WalMart does. If their profit came from only items bought in the US they would stop buying foreign made goods. The problem of course is because the majority of shoppers don’t care about the source they buy the cheapest items, which will never come from the US.
