AOL launches mobile coupon service
AOL has launched its Shortcuts.com coupon service on mobile phones in an effort to let customers get discounts while in the grocery store or otherwise on the move.
Here’s how it works: Shortcuts.com members can select coupons on their phones, which are then loaded onto their grocery store shopping cards, such as the Kroger Plus Card. Once the shoppers card is swiped, coupons that correspond with purchases will automatically be subtracted from the total cost.
Users can search by product categories as well as brands. The site works via the URL www.shortcuts.com in any cell phone Web browser and doesn’t require a separate application.
